About Synergys Law

Synergys Law is a small estate law practice based in Toronto, with a second office in Oakville. Founder Shruthi Raman established the firm in 2022, and the practice handles estate and trust planning, estate litigation, and estate administration exclusively. The planning side covers wills, trust planning, business succession planning, incapacity planning and powers of attorney, and charitable and special needs planning. On the litigation side, the firm handles will challenges, dependant relief claims, trust claims, Power of Attorney disputes, and executor or trustee misconduct and removal claims, along with passing of accounts. For clients administering an estate, it advises executors, trustees, and beneficiaries on their duties through probate and estate accounting, including complex or high value estates.

Raman started out in New Delhi, India, working in the Special Public Prosecutor's office, then moved to Canada and earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto. Raman holds the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, and is admitted to the Law Society of Ontario and the Bar Council of Delhi, India. Raman has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario and speaks English, Hindi, Tamil, Urdu, and Punjabi.

The neighbourhood

Synergys Law's Toronto office is in First Canadian Place at 100 King Street West, on the corner of King and Bay in the Financial District. The 72 storey tower was completed in 1975 and was Canada's tallest building for 50 years, until 2025; it now houses the global operational executive office of the Bank of Montreal. It's a well known downtown address for a small practice to work out of, in the middle of the city's office and financial core.

The Oakville office, on Upper Middle Road East, sits in an established office node on the border of Oakville and Mississauga, with access to the QEW, Highway 403, and Highway 407. Splitting the practice between a downtown Toronto tower and a highway-accessible Oakville office lets Raman meet clients from either the city core or the western GTA without asking them to cross town.
