That process included law studies at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, Osgoode Hall Law School at York University, and the University of Victoria, followed by admission to the Bar of Manitoba in 2017 and the Law Society of Ontario in 2018 as a barrister and solicitor. Rana also holds post graduate diplomas in personnel management and industrial relations from DAV Management College in India, and a post graduate diploma in immigration consulting, completed with honours, from Humber College in Toronto.

The firm's practice covers immigration matters such as spousal sponsorship, temporary resident visas, work permits, and applications under Provincial Nominee Programs, along with family law, real estate sales and refinancing, and income tax disputes involving CRA audits. It also handles wills, powers of attorney, small claims, landlord and tenant disputes, and notarization and commissioner of oaths work. The office is a suite in a small commercial building on St Regis Crescent in the York University Heights part of Toronto.
