About Stein Law Office

Stein Law Office is a personal injury firm on Eglinton Avenue West in Toronto. Andrew Stein founded the practice and has been a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada since 1991, and the firm's own copyright notice traces back to that same year. Stein represents people who have been seriously injured in accidents or wrongfully denied benefits by insurance companies, and the firm doesn't charge a legal fee until a case settles.

Stein has litigated cases at every level of the Ontario court system, from the Superior Court of Justice through Divisional Court to the Court of Appeal, and belongs to the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. The firm's work covers motor vehicle collisions, brain and spinal cord injury, slip and fall, dog bites, medical malpractice, and long term and short term disability claims. In 2023, a court held a hearing to approve the settlement of a proposed class action Stein and co-counsel Peter Waldmann brought against LifeLabs Inc. over a 2019 data breach that affected approximately 15 million customers, and that case has since settled. Shbina Bola joined the firm as an associate in 2025 after being called to the Ontario bar, having earned a law degree from the University of Leicester and an undergraduate degree in criminology and political science from the University of Toronto.
