Spiegel Law, formally Robert N. Spiegel Law Professional Corporation, is a Toronto securities and business law firm founded by Robert Spiegel. Before starting the firm, Spiegel spent 19 years as a partner in a small securities practice and seven years as in-house counsel at the Toronto Stock Exchange, working in its market policy and listings divisions. Spiegel holds a BCL and LLB from McGill University, was a Senior Editor of the McGill Law Journal, and was called to the Quebec bar in 1988 and the Ontario bar in 1992.

The firm advises private and public companies on corporate finance and securities compliance, including private placements, reverse mergers, IPOs and stock exchange listings, along with mergers, acquisitions and commercial agreements. It's a small firm that scales up for larger files by bringing in lawyers from related areas such as tax, intellectual property and litigation. Spiegel is also of counsel to Roy O'Connor LLP, a Toronto litigation firm, for securities and corporate finance disputes.

Spiegel is fluent in French, is accredited as a Qualified Arbitrator and Qualified Mediator by the ADR Institute of Canada, and completed mediation and negotiation training through Harvard Law School's Program on Negotiation. Spiegel also serves as an adjudicator with Tribunals Ontario.
