About Soni Law Firm

Soni Law Firm is a small employment and human rights litigation practice headquartered in Toronto, at the Hullmark Corporate Centre on Yonge Street at Sheppard Avenue in North York. Founder Rahul Soni started the firm to bring downtown Toronto litigation experience to individual employees, employers, and trade unions across Ontario, and the team today includes an associate lawyer and a student at law alongside legal support staff. The practice covers wrongful and constructive dismissal, human rights complaints, workplace harassment and discrimination, non compete disputes, and disability and employment insurance claims, with matters brought before the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Labour Relations Board.

Soni holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Toronto (2009) and a Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School (2013). Early practice began at a Toronto civil litigation firm before Soni moved into employment and human rights work and later founded Soni Law Firm, which also keeps appointment only offices in the financial district, Yorkville, and Scarborough for clients elsewhere in the city.

The neighbourhood

Soni Law Firm's head office sits inside the Hullmark Corporate Centre, a mixed use tower at Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue with about 240,000 square feet of office space alongside retail and residential units. The building connects directly to the Sheppard Yonge subway station, which suits a firm that also keeps by appointment offices spread across the financial district, Yorkville, and Scarborough rather than asking every client to travel to North York. Hullmark Centre was the largest project in developer Murphy Hull's decades building condominiums in Toronto, completed in partnership with Tridel.
