About Omar Zahid Law Professional Corporation

Omar Zahid Law Professional Corporation is a solo real estate and corporate practice. Its founder, Omar Hasan Al Zahid, is a barrister, solicitor and notary public. Omar holds a bachelor's and a master's of law from the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh, along with a further master of law from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in Toronto. Shortly after joining the Law Society of Ontario in 2017, Omar opened the firm.

The practice centers on real estate, both residential and commercial, and takes on new builds, pre-construction purchases, land severances, easements and mortgage enforcement work for lenders. It also handles corporate and commercial law, including incorporations, business name registrations, trademarks and contract drafting, plus wills and estates work such as Ontario wills and powers of attorney. Rather than billing by the hour, the firm charges a flat rate for each type of file, with disbursements such as land transfer tax, property tax and search costs billed separately. It also takes on urgent, last-minute closings.
