About SaxeFacts Law Professional Corporation

SaxeFacts Law Professional Corporation is the professional corporation of Toronto lawyer Dianne Saxe, who has practised environmental, energy and climate law since being called to the Ontario bar in 1976. After years in private practice, Saxe served as Ontario's Environmental Commissioner from 2015 to 2019, a legislative appointee who delivered 17 reports on the province's environmental, energy and climate performance before the office was discontinued.

The firm's focus has been climate, energy and environmental law, and its site published legal commentary, reports and presentations on the climate crisis, along with a podcast called Green Economy Heroes. Saxe holds the Law Society of Ontario Medal for environmental law leadership and an honourary doctorate in Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo. In 2022, Saxe was elected to Toronto City Council to represent Ward 11, University-Rosedale, and the firm has not taken new legal clients since.
