Sakuraba Law is a small Toronto firm founded in 2024 by Celso Sakuraba, offering legal services in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French out of an office suite on Eglinton Avenue East. The firm was built to serve Brazilian and other Portuguese-speaking clients in the GTA. Its lawyers and law clerks handle immigration, family, civil, employment, wills and estates, business, criminal and landlord-tenant matters, along with notary and Hague apostille services for documents that need to be recognized in Brazil or Canada.
Sakuraba was called to the bar in Brazil in 2005 and spent a decade in civil litigation there, appearing before Brazilian courts up to the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, before immigrating to Canada. Sakuraba worked as a legal secretary and law clerk while completing the National Committee on Accreditation process, then attended the Canadian Common Law program at Osgoode Hall Law School and was admitted to practice in Ontario, in addition to an LL.B. from the Federal University of Ceara and three LL.M. degrees from institutions in Portugal and Canada. Fellow lawyer Frederico do Valle also holds a Common Law LL.M. from Osgoode Hall, and Giovana Dall'Acqua previously worked as a Crown prosecutor before moving into criminal defence and family law at the firm.
