Pelsmakher Law is a Toronto employment and labour law firm led by founder Simon Pelsmakher, who represents employees, executives, and professionals as well as employers across Ontario and Canada. Because the practice works both sides of workplace disputes, the firm says that background helps it read how the other side is likely to approach a file and shape strategy accordingly. Simon was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019, completed a dual J.D. through the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy, and holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Western University, earning a spot on the Dean's Honour List there.

Before opening the firm, Simon worked in private practice representing clients through negotiations, mediations, examinations for discovery, and hearings, and held senior in-house legal roles with Canadian and multinational employers in the retail, food manufacturing, and quick-service restaurant industries, handling employment and labour matters across Canada and the United States. That background now covers wrongful and constructive dismissal, severance negotiation, executive compensation, and human rights claims for employees, and contracts, terminations, restrictive covenants, and compliance work for employers. Matters have gone before the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Superior Court of Justice, the Federal Court, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. The firm works with clients in Toronto and across other Ontario communities.
