About Nuada Law

Nuada Law is the practising name of Rivet Legal Services Professional Corporation, a small litigation firm in downtown Toronto. Angela Rivet founded the firm in 2015 after starting a legal career as a paralegal, handling employment, human rights, landlord and tenant, and general civil matters before earning a Juris Doctor and being called to the bar. That path still shapes how the firm works: a practical, dispute focused practice built around civil litigation, employment and human rights law, family law, insurance disputes, defamation, and contract disputes.

The firm leans toward alternative dispute resolution, aiming to resolve conflicts outside court where that serves the client, while staying ready to litigate when it doesn't. Its lawyers bring varied backgrounds to that work, including litigation and business law experience gained at firms in Lagos, Nigeria, legal training at law schools in London and Toronto with a family law practice, and public speaking and mentorship on workplace rights and equity. Before entering law, the firm's founder worked in the insurance industry, including as a licensed agent handling auto and life coverage, a background that still informs how the firm approaches insurance disputes.

The neighbourhood

Nuada Law's office is in Suite 2200 at 181 University Avenue, a Class A tower known as the Morningstar DBRS Tower and part of the Adelaide Place complex in Toronto's financial core. Built in 1975, the building connects directly to the underground PATH system, linking it to the TTC subway and the surrounding blocks of office towers, hotels, and shops.

University Avenue itself is one of Toronto's best known legal and financial corridors. It runs past Osgoode Hall and the Superior Court of Justice courthouse at 361 University Avenue, a proximity that matters for a firm built around civil, employment, and family litigation. The avenue is also lined with major financial and insurance industry offices, a backdrop that fits a practice that regularly represents policyholders in disputes with their insurers.
