About Bune Law

Bune Law is a solo employment law practice based in Toronto, founded by Sezar Bune. Bune was called to the Ontario Bar in 2014 after graduating magna cum laude from the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law, and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Toronto Lawyers' Association. The firm practices exclusively in Ontario employment law, representing both employees and employers in wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal, severance package negotiations, employment contract review, temporary layoffs, workplace harassment, and human rights and discrimination matters. Every file is handled personally by Bune from the first call through to resolution, rather than being passed to a junior associate or articling student.

Bune's background includes time on Bay Street before starting the firm, which the practice says shapes its read on how employers and corporations approach workplace disputes. Bune has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, and legal work from the practice has been published in reported Canadian case law, including a 2015 Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario decision and two 2016 Ontario Superior Court of Justice decisions. The office is in North York, and the firm serves clients across Toronto, the GTA, and Ontario.
