Borna Law Professional Corporation is a solo family law practice run by lawyer Kian Borna, with an office in the Madison Centre tower at 4950 Yonge Street in North York. Borna earned a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from York University in Toronto and an LL.B. from The University of Law (Bloomsbury) in London, England. Borna is licensed by the Law Society of Ontario, belongs to the Toronto Lawyers Association, and completed the Osgoode Certificate in Family Law Skills and Practice. Borna started out articling at a small Toronto firm focused mainly on family law, working with clients on separation, parenting, support, and property division, and picked up further experience in civil litigation and estates matters along the way.

The practice concentrates on family law, wills and powers of attorney, and Small Claims Court disputes, and takes a negotiation-first approach while preparing every file as though it could end up in court. Alongside the usual divorce, separation, and support work, the firm publishes a detailed guide on how Ontario courts treat mahr (also called mehr), the payment promised under many Muslim and Iranian marriage contracts, a subject that comes up often for clients from those communities. Borna Law offers flat-fee packages for simple divorces and separation agreements, doesn't accept legal aid, and starts most new files with a free 15-minute introductory call before booking any paid consultation.
