About Maxym Law

Maxym Law is a solo practice at Yonge and Eglinton in Toronto, run by Maxym Artemenko, a barrister, solicitor, and notary public. Artemenko earned a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School after graduating from York University, making the Dean's Honour Roll and belonging to the Golden Key Society there, and received the John Yaremko, Q.C. Scholarship from Osgoode Hall. During law school, Artemenko worked in the immigration division at Parkdale Community Legal Services and at the SSP refugee clinic.

After graduating, Artemenko practised business law, real estate, and estates at Wolfson Law, a small firm also located at Yonge and Eglinton, before opening a solo practice at the same intersection. Maxym Law now handles business and corporate matters, real estate transactions, and wills and estates for individual and corporate clients, and offers services in English, Ukrainian, and Russian. The firm stays small on purpose: Artemenko works on files personally rather than passing them to associates, and will meet with clients by phone, by email, at the office, or at the client's own location when that's easier.

The neighbourhood

The office sits at Yonge and Eglinton, a busy Toronto intersection, one block north of Eglinton subway station, on the ninth floor of a building with visitor parking for anyone who prefers to meet in person. Maxym Law keeps regular weekday hours there, with Saturday appointments on request, and will travel to a client's home or workplace when an office visit isn't practical. It's the same intersection where Artemenko worked before going solo, at a small firm called Wolfson Law.
