About Marcy Segal

Marcy Segal Law is a sole family law practice based in downtown Toronto, run by Marcy Segal. Segal graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1988 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1990. The first 20 years of practice were spent as a criminal defence lawyer, with more than 2,000 court appearances and hundreds of trials, before the practice shifted fully to family law. That litigation background carried over: Segal has appeared before all levels of the Ontario courts and various administrative boards, and has represented lawyers before the Law Society of Ontario.

The practice now centres on custody and access, child support and spousal support, division of property and equalization of net family property, separation agreements, and child protection matters, with a focus on high-conflict cases. Segal belongs to the York Law Association, the Peel Law Association, and the Toronto Law Association. The main office is on King Street West in Toronto's Financial District, with a second meeting location on Consumers Road, and the firm takes on clients from across the Greater Toronto Area, including Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington, Halton, Markham, Milton, and Oakville.
