About Limpert & Associates

Limpert & Associates is a small Toronto law firm that practices only in technology law. From an office at 2300 Yonge Street, the firm handles technology commercialization transactions, technology dispute resolution and litigation, and data and privacy law for technology companies and their investors. Its principal, P. Bradley Limpert, has a Bachelor's degree in engineering physics and a Master's degree in electrical and biomedical engineering, and worked at IBM Canada in software development, project management and marketing before qualifying as a registered patent agent and a Certified Licensing Professional. Limpert later practiced at one of Canada's largest intellectual property firms and chaired the National Technology Practice Group at one of Canada's largest law firms before starting this practice.

Limpert wrote the book Technology Contracting: Law, Precedents and Commentary, published by Carswell in 2005. It was cited in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court's 2015 decision in In re Nortel Networks, Inc. Limpert is also the Program Director of the Professional LLM in Privacy and Cybersecurity Law at Osgoode Hall Law School, and the firm has advised on more than 500 licensing transactions and over 200 financing and M&A deals for technology clients.
