leigh.law is a small litigation firm based in Toronto's financial district, founded by lawyer Peter Leigh. The practice focuses on commercial litigation and real estate and property disputes for clients across the Greater Toronto Area, including Mississauga, Oakville, Hamilton and the surrounding region. Before founding the firm, Leigh spent seven years at McCarthy Tetrault litigating disputes for corporations and institutions, then served as a Crown Attorney in Hamilton, prosecuting criminal trials involving fraud, breach of trust, sexual assault and property crimes.

Leigh holds a Bachelor of Commerce in management economics from the University of Guelph and a Juris Doctor earned in 2015 from the University of Windsor. Before law school, the path there wasn't a straight line: it included service in the Canadian Armed Forces as an infantryman at age eighteen while completing an undergraduate degree, work as an irrigation technician in Hamilton, a year operating a diamond drill in remote northern British Columbia, and a stint teaching elementary school in South Korea.

On the real estate side, the firm handles commercial tenancy disputes for landlords and tenants, failed or aborted agreements of purchase and sale, and mortgage enforcement for lenders and borrowers. Its commercial litigation work covers shareholder and partnership disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, contract and construction disputes, and fraud claims. leigh.law also offers legal research, drafting and second-chair support to other lawyers on a consulting basis.
