About Law Office of Laura Settanni

The Law Office of Laura Settanni is a family law practice in Toronto, with an office on Sheppard Avenue East near Yonge Street. Laura Settanni was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2016, after earning a law degree from the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Common Law and an Honours B.A. and Master of Arts in international relations from McMaster University. Before opening the practice, Settanni worked as a criminal defence associate, took on litigation work at a full-service law firm, and then practiced family law at a small Toronto firm.

Since 2018 the practice has focused exclusively on family law, covering divorce, child custody and support, spousal support, marriage contracts, cohabitation agreements, separation agreements, and the division of property. Settanni appears before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice and works to settle most matters through negotiation, though the firm will take a case to litigation when a settlement can't be reached. The practice works in association with the GOLDSTEIN Divorce & Family Law Group, and clients work directly with their own lawyer from the start of a file to the end, rather than being handed off between staff.
