The firm has two lawyers with different paths into practice. Jeffrey McLaughlin holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from York University, a Bachelor of Engineering Science from the University of Western Ontario, and a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, and spent years in management roles on large scale engineering projects in southern Michigan and southwestern Ontario before turning to real estate and business law. Nelson Oliveira earned a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Arts in political science and Portuguese from the University of Toronto, and came to the practice from a background in the construction industry. Oliveira provides legal services in English and Portuguese.

The office is in suite 1400 at 10 King Street East, at Yonge Street, on the eastern edge of Toronto's Financial District. King Street was one of the streets laid out in the original 1793 plan for the town of York, and it became early Toronto's main commercial street after Market Square went up at King and Jarvis in 1803. A real estate and business practice on King Street today sits on a stretch of the city with a long commercial history.
