Griffiths Law is a small real estate and wills and estates firm with offices in Toronto, Scarborough, and Whitby, serving clients across Toronto and Durham Region. Founder Jonathan Griffiths started the firm in 1981, and it has closed more than thirty-five thousand transactions since then, a volume that reflects a narrow focus: residential purchases, sales, and mortgage work, along with wills and estates.
Griffiths held a real estate license starting at age 19 and later sold it while in university and law school. After being called to the bar, the Ontario Real Estate Association asked Griffiths to teach its real property law course, making the new lawyer one of the association's youngest instructors at 25. Griffiths' son, Malcolm, later joined the practice, so the firm is now run by two generations of the same family.
