Can Gotal Family Law help if my ex and I disagree about who keeps the family pet?

The firm offers pet mediation for families who disagree over pet custody after a separation. The process focuses on the animal's wellbeing and tries to reach a workable arrangement, such as a shared custody schedule, without going to court.

What does an uncontested divorce cost at Gotal Family Law?

The firm charges a flat fee of $1,900, inclusive of court costs and HST, for an uncontested divorce where both spouses already agree on parenting, property, and support. If the other party files an Answer, the case becomes contested and the flat fee no longer applies.

Do I need independent legal advice before signing a separation agreement or marriage contract?

It's not legally required, but Gotal Family Law recommends independent legal advice for marriage contracts, cohabitation agreements, separation agreements, and parenting plans. A consultation includes a review of the agreement, a one on one explanation of the client's rights, and a signed Certificate of Independent Legal Advice once the lawyer is satisfied the client understands the terms.

Can Gotal Family Law help with a conflict between me and my adult child, or a grandparent access issue?
