About Goldfried Law

Goldfried Law is a solo family law and wills and estates practice based in Toronto, run by lawyer Charlotte Goldfried. The office is a suite at 123 Edward Street, in the city's Discovery District. Goldfried holds an Honours BA in Psychology, a Bachelor of Education, a Master's in Counselling, and a Bachelor of Laws, and the practice describes drawing on personal experience with divorce, both as a child and later as an adult, when working with family law clients. On the family side, the practice takes an exclusively collaborative approach: rather than litigating in court, it works out marriage contracts, cohabitation agreements, separation agreements and uncontested divorces directly between the parties, aiming for less conflict and more control over the outcome.

The wills and estate planning side covers wills, powers of attorney for personal care and property, and plan reviews as circumstances change, whether that's marriage, buying a home, or having a child. The firm also supports executors in understanding and carrying out what has to happen after someone dies. Outside the practice, Goldfried volunteers with Community Matters, a Toronto organization that helps seniors age in place through social events, education and peer support.
