GibbsLaw LLP is a small litigation firm in downtown Toronto that represents professionals, insurers and regulators in professional liability defence, civil litigation and administrative proceedings. It's a compact operation, with eleven lawyers working out of a single office at 150 York Street. The firm practiced for years as Gibbs & Associates before restructuring as a limited liability partnership and adopting the GibbsLaw LLP name in mid-2024, a change the firm said was meant to bring in more partners and make it stronger.

The practice covers construction, engineering, health and accounting matters, largely defending professionals and their insurers in liability claims and before regulators such as Professional Engineers Ontario, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal and various health colleges. Partner Gary Gibbs holds a law degree from Osgoode Hall and a B.A. from York University, has practiced construction litigation since 1989, and has been recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for construction law and insurance since 2007. Partner Michelle Gibbs holds a law degree from the University of Toronto and a B.A. from Western, focuses on health law, employment and insurance matters, and has been recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for health care law since 2008.
