About Fareen Law

Fareen Law was a solo practice founded by Fareen Kassam, a Barrister and Solicitor in Toronto. Fareen Kassam completed undergraduate studies in political science, legal studies and criminology at the University of Waterloo, then earned a law degree from the University of Manchester in England. Earlier professional experience included litigation work at a large firm, in-house work for an airline in England, time at the Human Rights Legal Support Centre, and work as a contracts consultant at an accounting firm. Listed professional memberships from that period included the Law Society of Upper Canada (now the Law Society of Ontario), the Toronto Lawyers Association, the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers, and the Canadian Technology Law Association.

In its earlier years the practice covered employment and labour law, human rights complaints, immigration matters including visas, permanent residence and citizenship applications, notary services, small claims litigation, and construction lien work. The phone number 647-268-1282 carried over from those years to the current site. As of mid-2026 the website displayed only a maintenance notice, so current practice areas and staffing should be confirmed directly with the firm.
