Miliaris Family Law is a small, single-lawyer firm in Etobicoke, in Toronto's west end, focused on family law and estate law. Janet Miliaris was called to the Ontario Bar in 1993 and has focused on family law since 1996. The legal career began as a first-year law student prosecuting non-criminal offences with the Crown Attorney's office in Toronto, followed by litigation and corporate law experience as a summer and articling student at an international Bay Street law firm. Miliaris holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto and a Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law. The firm handles matrimonial and estate litigation, marriage contracts, and cohabitation agreements, and works to resolve matters through negotiation and, where needed, mediation, collaborative law, or courtroom litigation. Miliaris personally answers the phone when clients call.

The firm's two law clerks also specialize in family law. Sabina Connon has more than 20 years of experience on the financial side of family law files, including property division and support calculations, after earlier work as a financial law clerk at a Bay Street family law firm. Suruthy Sathiyapalan holds an honours degree in criminology from York University and a law clerk diploma from Humber College, and works on court filings and litigation support. Miliaris is conversationally fluent in Greek, Connon is fluent in Polish, and Sathiyapalan is conversationally fluent in Tamil.
