About Dubin Legal Advocacy

Dubin Legal Advocacy is a Toronto family law firm that has operated from an office on Yonge Street since 2005, when the firm bearing Lori Dubin's name first opened its doors. The practice centres on separation and divorce, domestic agreements, child and spousal support, parenting arrangements and property division, and it also takes on criminal defence work, with particular experience in cases where a family law dispute has produced a related criminal charge. Clients can resolve a separation through negotiation, collaborative family law or alternative dispute resolution, or through litigation when a matter needs to go before a judge.

Dubin holds an Honours BA in psychology and mass communication theory from York University and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2004, later adding certificates in collaborative family law and in family law skills and practice. Outside the practice, Dubin has taught as an adjunct professor in Ryerson University's Law Practice Program and as a professor at Taipei Cultural University in Taiwan, has appeared as a legal commentator on Court TV Canada, and volunteers as a pro bono resource for self-represented litigants at the Superior Court of Justice and Toronto's Small Claims Court.
