About TCZ Family Law

TCZ Family Law is a Toronto based family law practice led by lawyer Eric Tianchuan Zhao. The firm handles divorce, separation, custody and access, and child and spousal support, along with marriage contracts, cohabitation agreements, and separation agreements. It also takes on adoption, child protection, alternative dispute resolution such as mediation and arbitration, and some estate planning and real estate work. Zhao meets clients by appointment at four locations: downtown Toronto, two offices in North York, and one in Ottawa, and the firm offers its services in English and Mandarin.

Zhao holds a Bachelor of Law from the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing, a Master of Law in public international law from Leiden University in the Netherlands, and a Master of Law from the University of Toronto. Zhao's career started at Baker McKenzie LLP, working on financial and business transactions, then moved through McInnis & Nicoll and Mahdi Leite Family Law LLP before opening a solo practice. Zhao belongs to the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Family Lawyers Association, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and is a community member of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers. The firm is regulated by the Law Society of Ontario.
