Crescendo Law is a business law firm headquartered in downtown Toronto, working with business owners, startups, scaleups, and financial investors such as private equity and venture capital firms across the Greater Toronto Area, Hamilton, and Southern Ontario. The firm's practice covers three areas: corporate law, commercial law, and corporate finance, with particular depth in mergers and acquisitions, private placement financings, and investment fund formation.

The firm was founded by David Kim, who is called to the Bar of Ontario and licensed by the Law Society of Ontario. Before starting Crescendo Law, David was a corporate and commercial lawyer at Gowling WLG's Toronto office, focusing on M&A, private equity, and venture capital work. Earlier still, David worked as an investment banker at Scotia Capital and as a private equity fund investor at CPP Investments, a background that carries into how the firm advises on financings and fund transactions. David holds a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), both from Queen's University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder and a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor. Crescendo Law has published legal articles on startup financing and corporate topics since at least November 2018.
