I was let go from my job in Toronto. Can Crangle Law help me figure out if I got the severance I'm owed?

Yes. The firm reviews severance packages and advises on entitlement to notice or pay in lieu, including cases where a signed employment contract turns out not to be enforceable and the common law applies instead of the statutory minimums.

Does Crangle Law only represent employees, or does it also work for employers?

Both. The firm handles employee side matters like wrongful and constructive dismissal, and also works with employers on contract drafting, workplace policies, harassment investigations, and defending human rights and tribunal complaints.

I was hurt in a car accident or a slip and fall. Does Crangle Law take personal injury cases?

Yes, the firm handles motor vehicle accident claims, slip and fall and other premises liability cases, and catastrophic injury matters, and some personal injury files are taken on a contingency fee basis.

My employer wants me to sign a non-compete clause. Is that enforceable in Ontario?

Not always. Courts often find non-competition clauses unenforceable as an unreasonable restraint on trade unless they're very narrow. Non-solicitation clauses have a better chance of holding up if they're limited in scope, for example to former clients, and kept to a short duration.
