Anil Bhole also holds a computer engineering degree and worked in embedded software development before entering law. Marc Lampert, the firm's Patent Group Leader, carries the same mix of Canadian and USPTO qualifications. Alessia Monastero heads the Trademarks Group as a lawyer and trademark agent, and patent agent Chris Dynowski has spent more than nine years preparing and prosecuting patent applications, backed by an electrical engineering degree from the University of Manitoba. History
Bhole IP Law started out as Anil Bhole's own practice, after earlier work at an IP-focused firm and in the IP groups of several national full service firms. In 2012 the name was a registered Ontario business name of Anil Bhole Professional Corporation, owned by Anil Bhole, and the office was at 10 King Street East, Suite 1400. The practice was built around high-tech entrepreneurs and start-ups looking to protect and make use of their IP, and by the end of that year it also served early-stage venture-backed companies and established businesses growing technology portfolios.

Bhole IP Law drafts and files patent applications and takes them through examination in Canada, the U.S. and abroad, supported by patentability searches, infringement, freedom-to-operate and validity analyses, patent audits and trade secret advice. Each client's patent strategy is tailored to that client. Marc Lampert leads the group, with prosecution experience in technologies from electrical and computer systems to medical devices, and came to the firm from an IP-focused firm and the Waterloo office of a national full-service firm.
Trademarks and brand protection
Alessia Monastero heads the trademark group, with a practice that centres on trademarks and copyright. The firm runs clearance searches, prepares and files applications, and handles oppositions, cancellations, enforcement and anti-counterfeiting work, along with domain name disputes under the UDRP and CDRP. Milestones & recognition
- Alessia Monastero received the Barry D. Torno Award in 2018 and again in 2019 for research on brand protection in fashion and design.
- In 2022 Anil Bhole, then a member of the FICPI Canada Council, was asked to act as Canadian Alternate Delegate for the FICPI Exco held just before that year's FICPI World Congress in Cannes, France.

The office complex rose on the northeast corner of Queens Quay and Lower Jarvis, where work began in early 2015 by tearing down the Guvernment/Kool Haus entertainment complex.
