Barnable Law is a Toronto litigation practice with four core fields: insurance coverage, transportation and marine, construction and infrastructure, and commercial litigation. Its clients are insurers, corporations and individuals, and the work runs both ways, from defending claims to pursuing them, alongside help with risk management.

Rory Barnable has practised law since 2002 and set the firm up to serve a select group of clients in industries Rory cares about. Before that came a partnership at a Toronto litigation firm, where Rory chaired the property insurance, insurance coverage and marine groups, and earlier litigation work at full-service firms in Ontario and Atlantic Canada. Rory's courtroom experience reaches every level of court in both Ontario and Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as the Supreme Court of Canada.

Robin Squires, a maritime and transportation lawyer since 2006, joined in 2026 after more than twenty years at a national firm, where Robin led its national transportation and maritime focus groups. Mirilyn Sharp, a litigator of more than 35 years whose main field is class actions, acts as counsel to the firm while running Sharp Legal. Associates Lulu Shi, who focuses on insurance litigation and speaks Mandarin, and Herman Khangura, whose commercial litigation work leans toward coverage and transportation and who earned a J.D. in the inaugural class at Toronto Metropolitan University's Lincoln Alexander School of Law, round out the lawyers, supported by Jennifer Priess, a law clerk with more than twenty years in civil litigation.

Beyond insurance, transport and construction, the firm's industry list takes in healthcare, energy and resources, and environmental work. Its offices sit in Toronto's financial core, though the lawyers would rather meet clients where they work when that's possible.
