Tabrizi favours alternative dispute resolution in family law, because good-faith negotiation and bargaining around each side's interests can often save people thousands in legal fees, give relationships a chance to mend and ease the strain that separation puts on a family. In mediation a single neutral professional runs the negotiation, which cuts what both parties spend on legal fees.
When mediation isn't appropriate, Tabrizi goes to court for the client and commits to doing so in a professional, civil and forthright way, on the view that cooperative lawyers focused on solutions get clients to resolutions that are clear, lasting and cost-effective.
