About Atlantis Law

Atlantis Law Professional Corporation is a small Ontario firm built around family law and criminal defence. Its principal lawyer, R. Rick Singh, is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario, with trial experience in various courts in Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga, Guelph, and Sault Ste. Marie.

The firm is based in Toronto, with an office in the Yonge and Eglinton business corridor, and keeps a second location in Sault Ste. Marie to serve clients in the Algoma District. From those two offices it also takes on matters from Peel Region, Guelph, and London. The family law side covers divorce, separation agreements, spousal and child support, custody and parenting arrangements, and child protection cases involving the Children's Aid Society. The criminal defence practice covers impaired driving, assault, drug and weapons charges, fraud, and youth criminal justice matters. The firm offers services in Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu, accepts Legal Aid Ontario certificates, and sets up virtual consultations for clients who can't get to either office in person.

The neighbourhood

The Toronto office is in the 120 Eglinton Business Centre, a Modernist building put up during the boom that followed the opening of the Yonge subway line, just west of Redpath Avenue. The Business Centre has rented furnished, serviced office suites to small businesses and consultants for more than twenty years, and it sits about two minutes' walk from the Eglinton subway station.

The Sault Ste. Marie office is on the second floor of 123 March Street, home to MillWorks, a coworking space with a Walk Score of 88, rated 'Very Walkable'. It gives the firm an actual second base in the Algoma District, not just a mailing address, while the practice stays centred in Toronto.
