Aird & Berlis LLP is a full service business law firm based in Toronto, where its office occupies the Bay Wellington Tower at Brookfield Place on Bay Street in the Financial District. The firm announced a second office in downtown Vancouver in March 2025, bringing lawyers in Indigenous law, financial services, real estate, energy, mining, natural resources, corporate, mergers and acquisitions, procurement, construction and infrastructure to the west coast. From both offices, the firm advises multinational corporations, startups, individuals, governments and Indigenous nations, with practices spanning capital markets, corporate and financial services law, real estate, tax, litigation and dispute resolution, workplace law, intellectual property, and municipal, land use planning and development.
The firm runs a Space Tech industry group that advises companies, investors and public sector participants on satellite, launch, aerospace and orbital technology matters, and it maintains a dedicated Indigenous Practice Group of Indigenous and non-Indigenous lawyers. Its municipal, land use planning and development group was ranked first among planning and development law firms in Novae Res Urbis' 2025 Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area survey, the second year running in that spot. In Chambers High Net Worth 2026, the firm was ranked Band 1 for Private Wealth Law and Private Wealth Disputes, and 117 of its lawyers were recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada 2026.

By appointmentAird & Berlis' Toronto office sits in the Bay Wellington Tower at Brookfield Place, a complex that folds 12 preserved heritage buildings into the block bounded by Yonge, Wellington, Bay and Front streets in the Financial District. The Allen Lambert Galleria, a six floor atrium designed by Santiago Calatrava, links the towers and connects into Toronto's underground PATH network. The Hockey Hall of Fame occupies a former Bank of Montreal branch built in 1885 at the base of the complex, a short walk from the firm's door.
That downtown address sits close to the city's core business and development activity, work reflected in the firm's first place finish two years running in Novae Res Urbis' survey of GTHA planning and development law firms. The newer Vancouver office, announced in March 2025 on West Georgia Street in downtown Vancouver, brought Indigenous law, financial services, real estate, energy, mining and natural resources work to the west coast rather than a Toronto style heritage setting.
