Courtis, Desmoulin Law Office is a small firm in Thunder Bay that has served Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario for more than 30 years. Its three lawyers handle criminal defence, wills and estates, personal injury, and institutional abuse claims, from an office at 136 McKellar Street North.

Andrew Desmoulin, one of the firm's namesake lawyers, articled at Lerners LLP before being called to the bar in 2007. From 2007 to 2017, Desmoulin worked on the Baxter class action, which secured compensation for hundreds of Indian Residential School Survivors, and is a member in good standing of the Pic River First Nation. That reach carries through the practice: the firm's criminal lawyers travel to communities across Northwestern Ontario, including fly-in First Nations communities, to attend court and meet clients.

Two of the firm's other lawyers, Emily Morris and Hannah Gladstone, both trained at the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay. Morris was part of the school's 2013 charter class, graduated with first class standing and a Criminal Law prize, and became a co-owner of the firm in 2023. Gladstone graduated in 2016 in the top 10 percent of the class, was called to the Ontario Bar that year, and joined the firm in 2025 to focus on estates and elder law.
