About Donnelly Lawyer

Donnelly Lawyer is a sole-practitioner law office in Arnprior, Ontario, run by Nancy (Colbert) Donnelly with law clerk Tracey. The firm handles residential real estate transactions and wills, powers of attorney and estate planning for clients in Arnprior, Ottawa and the surrounding area. Donnelly's family bought a farm near Arnprior when Donnelly was young, and Donnelly got an early start in the profession as a legal secretary at the newly opened Arnprior law office of Donnelly's brother, Tim Colbert, while still a student at ADHS.

Donnelly earned a Bachelor of Arts, Honours in Psychology, from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1990. Donnelly then spent more than 20 years as a litigation lawyer and court mediator in downtown Ottawa before returning to Arnprior to join Colbert's practice. The two worked alongside each other until Colbert retired, and Donnelly took over the firm. Donnelly and Tracey, who was born and raised in the area, now run the office together, focused on the real estate and estate planning work that makes up a small-town practice.
