Van Dusen Law Office PC is a litigation firm based in the village of Russell, Ontario, a short drive from downtown Ottawa. Michael Van Dusen founded the firm in 2001 after 15 years learning the trade at Goldberg, Shinder, Gardner, Kronick & Tavel and then Burke-Robertson, having earlier articled at a multi-service Ottawa firm and spent time in the family and criminal courts before narrowing the practice to insurance law. Van Dusen grew up in the bilingual town of Aylmer, Quebec, and came to law after a varied working life that included surveying on the LG2 Hydro project, managing a restaurant, and editing for the Canadian Press, before earning a communications degree and an LLB from the University of Ottawa.

The firm practices in insurance law and personal injury litigation, also acting as mediators in civil disputes, and offers its services in both English and French. A second litigator, Matthew G.T. Glass, represents businesses and individuals in civil, commercial, construction, and personal injury matters, and has appeared before the Federal Court of Canada, all levels of court in Ontario, and courts and tribunals in other provinces and territories. Glass also acts as amicus duty counsel through Pro Bono Ontario. Van Dusen Law Office runs a paperless office from its Russell location and serves clients across the Ottawa area, Eastern and Northern Ontario, the Greater Toronto Area, and Quebec.
