Teshebaeva Henderson is a two-lawyer family law firm in downtown Ottawa, working out of 170 Laurier Avenue West. Altynay Teshebaeva and Ceilidh Henderson founded the practice together in 2016, and it has handled nothing but family law since: marriage and cohabitation agreements, divorce and separation, custody and access, child and spousal support, division of property, mediation, and collaborative family law. Both lawyers worked at the Family Duty Counsel Office in the Ottawa Courthouse before going into private practice together, which is part of why the firm's approach leans toward negotiation and mediation as well as litigation.

Teshebaeva's path to family law ran through international human rights work: directing a legal aid clinic for children and youth in the Kyrgyz Republic, then working at the United Nations Secretariat and the Consulate General of Canada in New York. A Legal Aid Ontario listing shows Teshebaeva serving clients in English and Russian. Henderson trained as a Collaborative Lawyer, has litigated motions and trials at the Superior Court of Justice, and appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada as an intervener in 2020. The firm also offers limited scope services for clients who need help with part of a family law matter rather than the whole file.
