About Roloff Legal

Roloff Legal is a small, client-focused law firm based in the Skyline area of Nepean, in the west end of Ottawa. It handles real estate, wills and estates, family law, and corporate and commercial matters, along with notarial services such as witnessed signatures and certified copies. The firm describes its work as reliable, common-sense solutions to everyday legal needs, and it takes a practical approach rather than an aggressive one.

Founder Jillian A. C. Roloff is originally from Nepean, and the firm has long been based there. Jillian earned a B.A. with Highest Honours from Carleton University in 2007, and completed a J.D. at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto in 2010. At Osgoode Hall, Jillian was part of a Mediation Advocacy Team that won the Canadian National Mediation Advocacy Competition in 2009 and went on to place third at an International Chamber of Commerce mediation competition in Paris the following year, work centred on resolving disputes without litigation.

Jillian articled at a large Ottawa firm, then spent two years abroad doing volunteer work before returning to Ottawa and joining Anders, Young, Strong & Jonah in 2013. That practice later became Anders Roloff, and in 2024 the firm was renamed Roloff Legal. Jillian is a member of the Carleton County Law Association and the Law Society of Ontario.
