About Riopelle Group Professional Corporation

Riopelle Group Professional Corporation runs two offices, one in Orléans (Ottawa) and one in Timmins, Ontario. The practice began in 1974, when Robert A. Riopelle opened a sole law office in Timmins. Robert A. Riopelle practiced there until 1999, when appointment to the Ontario Superior Court bench ended that chapter. The founder's son, Robert M. Riopelle, acquired the practice soon after and incorporated it as Riopelle Group Professional Corporation, adding the Orléans office in 2008 and extending the firm's reach into the Ottawa area while keeping its Timmins roots.

Today the firm handles real estate, corporate and business law, wills and estates, and family law. Riopelle Group lawyers also do prosecution work, acting as Provincial Offences Act prosecutors for the City of Timmins on Highway Traffic Act matters and as federal Crown agents for the Public Prosecution Service of Canada in the Cochrane, Temiskaming, and Sudbury districts. Most of the firm's lawyers are bilingual, and several hold French Common Law degrees from the University of Ottawa, a fit for the francophone and anglophone clients it serves in both northeastern Ontario and the Ottawa area.
