NextGenLaw LLP is a small Ottawa law firm built around two specialized practice areas: property tax exemption litigation and sports dispute resolution, alongside related administrative law work across Ontario. The firm represents charities, non-profits, religious institutions, and other property owners in exemption applications and appeals before the Assessment Review Board and the courts. Its lawyers also serve as independent investigators, mediators, and adjudicators for national and provincial sports organizations, handling matters from Safe Sport complaints to governance disputes.

Founding partners Joe Jebreen and Scott McAnsh both previously served as members of the Ontario Assessment Review Board, with McAnsh holding the role of Vice-Chair. Jebreen, who has over 18 years of litigation experience and is bilingual, and McAnsh represented Stamford Kiwanis Non-Profit Homes Inc. in a 2025 Ontario Court of Appeal decision that overturned a 27-year-old precedent and broadened the test for charitable property tax exemptions. Associate Juliana Braun, a Queen's University law graduate who focuses on investigating and adjudicating sport maltreatment complaints, rounds out the team. The firm says it has adjudicated more than 150 sports law disputes across Canada.
