McKöena Law Professional Corporation is an Ottawa firm based at 285 Carruthers Avenue, in the Hintonburg neighbourhood west of downtown. The firm calls itself an "Ontario Virtual Lawyer," built around a client-first strategy that leans on technology tools to keep overhead down and serve clients across the province rather than just walk-in visitors. Managing partner Kashmeel McKöena founded the practice, first incorporated as McKöena Professional Law Corporation, in 2012 after retiring from the Canadian Armed Forces, where McKöena served as a military lawyer with the Office of the Judge Advocate General (JAG). McKöena studied political science and mass communication at York University, then enrolled at Queen's University Law School in 1995 and graduated with the class of 1998.

The firm's practice areas include military law, criminal law, wills and estates, workplace grievances, and media and entertainment law. Much of that work runs through McKöena's military background: the firm represents Canadian Forces members in court martial matters and career administrative issues under the National Defence Act, and in grievances and workplace harassment complaints that Forces members bring under section 29 of that Act. The wills and estates practice helps executors and beneficiaries administer estates, including files with insolvent estates or assets in more than one jurisdiction, and the media and entertainment practice has represented production companies and negotiated musical property rights.
