HoneyScharf is a small Ottawa law firm formed in July 2025, when Eric L. Honey's longtime solo practice joined with Scharf Estate Law. Eric Honey had practiced law in Ottawa for more than four decades before the merger, building a client base in real estate transactions and wills and estates. David Scharf, who moved to Ottawa from Saskatoon in 2011, founded Scharf Estate Law in 2022 to focus on estate planning, administration, and disputes. After the merger, the combined firm kept its longtime office on Richmond Road in Westboro and now practices under one name, though its phone number and location haven't changed.

HoneyScharf limits its work to a few areas: estate planning, estate administration, estate litigation, and residential real estate, including home purchases and sales, title transfers, and mortgage refinancing. The firm caps how many clients it takes on so each file gets personal attention, and it offers a free consultation before any work begins. Senior partner David Scharf's credentials include a CD alongside degrees in philosophy, law, and journalism from the University of Saskatchewan and Carleton University. The firm's logo, a mother and baby elephant, reflects Scharf's view that a parent needs to be as strong as an elephant to protect the next generation.
