About Eggert & Eggert Law

Eggert & Eggert Law is a family owned firm of barristers and solicitors in North Bay, Ontario, working from an office on Sherbrooke Street. The Eggert family moved to North Bay in 1969, and founder Clemens Eggert built a legal career there after starting out as a Public Health Inspector, qualifying for that role at Ryerson University in 1975. Clemens Eggert later went back to school, earned a law degree from Queen's University in 1984, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1986. The practice began as the partnership Tafel, Trussler & Eggert; once the two original partners retired, it continued as Clemens Eggert Professional Corporation and, with the next generation joining, became the family firm now known as Eggert & Eggert Law.

Madison Eggert studied Business Administration at Brock University and graduated with First Class Honours from Bond Law School in 2019, and now practices corporate and commercial law, wills and estates, real estate, and family law alongside Clemens Eggert. Lawyer Adam Lake, who grew up in North Bay and studied at Osgoode Hall Law School after an education degree from Nipissing University, returned to the city in 2023 after three years practicing family law and civil litigation in Sudbury, and now handles family and civil matters at the firm.
