The Closing Centre is an online real estate law firm based in Virgil, Ontario, in the Niagara Region. Instead of a walk in signing appointment, clients meet with the firm through a secure video conferencing system, and can use their own preferred video app if they'd rather. The firm advertises fixed, up front legal fees for its core services, $999.99 for a sale or refinance and $1,099.99 for a purchase, and gives clients ongoing access to a CosmoLex client portal to follow a file's progress. Stewart LPC was launched by Andrew Stewart, who holds an LL.B. and an M.B.A. from Dalhousie University and a B.A. (Hons) from the University of Toronto. Before founding the firm, Stewart worked as a corporate associate at a Bay Street law firm and as Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions at a global insurance company, a background the firm says shapes its preference for straightforward advice over legal jargon.
