About Rob Kitto

Rob Kitto is a criminal defence lawyer in London, Ontario, practicing as Behr Law Professional Corporation. Kitto joined the firm as an associate in 2006 and is now its owner. The practice covers trials and pleas in the Ontario Court of Justice, jury and judge alone trials and appeals in the Superior Court, and bail reviews. Kitto also appears before the Ontario Review Board and handles Long Term Offender applications and matters in the Gladue Court and the Therapeutic and Youth Courts.

Kitto came to law by an unusual route. Kitto holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Western Ontario, earned in 1997, and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Western in 2000, where published research included a 1999 Western technical report on potential applications of DNA computing and a paper on molecular biology, 'A Computer Scientist's Guide to Molecular Biology,' published in the journal Soft Computing. A Bachelor of Laws from Western followed in 2003. Kitto articled at the Bay Street firm Gowling, Lafleur, Henderson and spent time at a small civil litigation practice before moving into criminal defence full time.
