Nolan, Ciarlo LLP is a law firm in downtown Hamilton, Ontario, that traces back to 1915, when John J. Hunt opened a law office in the same downtown core the firm still works from today. Hunt was appointed King's Counsel in 1935. That year, Hunt's daughter, Constance McLean, became one of Ontario's first women lawyers and continued the practice with J. Montalieu McLean and Walter Tuchtie, who went on to become Senior Judge of what is now the Ontario Court of Justice. In 1975, two of Hunt's grandsons, John Hunt Nolan and Dermot P. Nolan, started a firm with Robert E. Forsyth, and the Nolan and McLean practices merged in 1978, later renamed Nolan Law Offices. Franco Ciarlo joined in 1995, became a partner in 2003, and the firm took its current name, Nolan, Ciarlo LLP, in 2012.

The firm now has six lawyers working in employment law, long-term disability and insurance, personal injury, civil litigation, real estate, wills and estates, and litigation supporting survivors of sexual assault. Files stay with one lawyer from intake to resolution rather than moving through law clerks or paralegals. Two of the firm's lawyers carry the family name into a fourth generation: Ned Nolan and Kennedy Nolan are both great grandsons of John J. Hunt; Kennedy Nolan has been a partner since 2020.
