About Sarah Vokey Law

Sarah Vokey Law is a small employment law and workplace investigations firm based in Oakville, Ontario, in a Class A office building on Upper Middle Road East near the Oakville-Mississauga border. Sarah Vokey founded the firm after articling at a Bay Street firm and then practicing employment law and investigations for 15 years as a co-founder and partner of a Toronto employment law and investigations firm. Vokey was called to the Bar in 2009, earned the Association of Workplace Investigators Certificate (AWI-CH) in 2018, and served for three years as an independent investigator and assessor appointed by the Office of the Sports Integrity Commissioner.

The firm represents both employees and employers, handling wrongful dismissal, human rights and accommodation, and harassment matters, and it conducts workplace, sporting, and academic integrity investigations for organizations across Canada. Its team includes an employment lawyer who has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada and the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, a licensed private investigator with a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation, and a former police officer with the West Yorkshire Police in England who also held a senior investigator role with the City of Toronto. Sarah Vokey Law also designs and delivers workplace training on harassment, discrimination, and respect in the workplace, and its founder lectures at Humber College's graduate human resources program.
