Empower Law LLP is a family law firm based in Oakville, Ontario, run by two co-managing partners, Mehwish Rasheed and Faiza Sultana. The firm's practice is centered on family law, taking on separation and divorce, parenting arrangements and child support, spousal support, and property and equalization claims. It also handles prenuptial and cohabitation agreements, domestic violence matters, and Hague Convention cases involving children wrongfully removed to or from another country, along with independent legal advice for clients finalizing agreements drafted elsewhere.

Rather than steering every file toward court, the firm pairs litigation advocacy with mediation, so a client can pursue a negotiated settlement or go to trial depending on what the case needs. Rasheed has spent roughly a decade practising family law exclusively, appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Divisional Court, with additional experience in arbitration and appeals. Sultana has practised family law for about eight years, litigating at the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice and taking part in multiple mediations.
