About Watson & Phillips

Watson & Phillips is a small law firm in Markdale, Ontario, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. Catherine P. Watson opened a law practice in Markdale in 2008, and Paul B. Phillips joined as a partner in February 2018, forming the Law Office of Watson & Phillips. Phillips has run the firm alone since March 2020, continuing under the founding partnership's name. The office is on Toronto Street South, and the firm serves clients across Grey and Bruce counties.

The firm practices family law, corporate and commercial law, and wills and estates. Its family law work includes collaborative law, negotiated through the Collaborative Family Law Group of Grey/Bruce, along with representation in family court on custody, support, and separation matters. On the corporate and commercial side, the firm handles incorporations, shareholder agreements, and mergers and acquisitions, and its wills and estates practice covers estate planning, business succession, and estate administration. Phillips holds a B.A. from the University of Waterloo (2008) and a J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School at Western Michigan University (2011), and was called to the Ontario bar in June 2015 after articling at Loucks & Loucks in Chesley.
