About Findlay Family Law

Findlay Family Law is a solo family law practice in Oshawa, Ontario, led by William R. Findlay. Findlay earned a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2003 and an arts degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2000, then was called to the bar in Ontario in 2004. After several years at another Oshawa firm practising family law exclusively, Findlay opened Findlay Family Law in 2007.

The practice covers the range of family law work: divorce and separation, both contested and uncontested, custody and access, child and spousal support, and the division of property and pensions. It also handles domestic contracts and mediation, and takes on cases funded through Legal Aid Ontario. In 2018, after more than a decade focused solely on family law, the firm added wills and estates to its services. The office sits in downtown Oshawa, a block from the Superior Court of Justice, Family Branch, and the firm serves clients across Durham Region, from Oshawa and Whitby to smaller communities such as Uxbridge, Scugog, and Brock.
